Relationships can bring a lot of joy into our lives but sometimes they can also be our hardest struggle.   • Growing up in an overly critical family.

    Our relationship with our parents plays a great role in our early development and the habits we develop early on in life are the hardest to change as we grow older. Having overly critical parents can make you grow up with the constant impression that you are not good enough which can lead to lacking self-love as an adult.

  • Having too high expectations from yourself.

    Putting too high of a standard for yourself puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on yourself and it means that you will almost never reach your standard which can leave you feeling disappointed in yourself and lower your self-love.

The journey towards self-love is one of the most exciting journeys you will go through in life. You can discover things you didn't know about yourself and it will improve every aspect of your life. Here are a few tips to help you on this wonderful journey:

  • Try to say positive affirmations more often.

    Affirmations are an extremely powerful tool that can significantly help you on your path towards self-love. Try saying the following affirmations when you wake up and before going to bed and see how they affect your energy:

    Exercising is wonderful for boosting your mood and maintaining a healthy, strong, beautiful body. This can also increase your self-esteem thus your self-love as well.

    The power of gratitude is amazing. When you feel grateful for what you currently have and how you are, the universe will only provide you with even more reasons to be grateful for. So next time you feel a negative thought pattern arising in your mind, try to think of a few things you are grateful for and see how your energy immediately shifts.

Depending on your current level of self-love and your current lifestyle it can be easier or harder for you to overcome your struggles and reach the desired unconditional self-love but I am telling you it is surely worth it. When you start to deepen your self-love you will shortly notice the positive changes in your life and your relationships with others and you will be on your way to attracting your most desired relationships.
